Over the years, ARM has donated
hundreds of baptistries to mission fields around the world -- as well as
donating units to prisons and military bases. Just in the last few
issues of this report, you've seen such units used in Mexico, Cuba, the
Philippines, and Cambodia.
![]() We know there will be many
requests in 2010 for more baptistries for mission fields, prisons, and
military bases.
At $795 per unit for portable
baptistries and $975 for Communion Table Baptistries, we will invest tens
of thousands of dollars in building and donating these units.
If you, your Sunday School
class, or your church could sponsor even one of these, that would be
terrific. If you can only make a gift toward this baptistry fund,
that would be greatly appreciated, as well. Thanks for your prayers
and support.

From ARM's Alfredo Jose
Aparicio
Dear and precious brethren in Christ Jesus,
May the Love of our Mighty and Gracious Lord be with
you. I am so grateful to you because of your fervent prayers for the
ministry, my family and I. Many difficult situations are in front of us,
but the hand of our God is powerful and He overcomes any peril.
This time I start my report asking you for more prayers
for Mexico. Now, Mexico has become extremely dangerous for everyone. We
are no longer safe on the streets . Please help us pray for our brother
Octavio Rodríguez. On April 21st, as he and his family were going to
Church, they were stopped, and he has kidnapped. His kidnappers are asking
$1,000,000.00 dollars to set him free. His wife sold their home, and she
got $150,000.00 for it. This money was delivered to the kidnappers at two
o’clock in the morning in an abandoned and lugubrious place. However, this
amount is not enough, and they are asking for more. Otherwise, they said,
will start cutting him in pieces and delivering them until he dies.
The local government in Cuernavaca has recognized that
they are hopeless in all this situation. So, it asked us Christians to
pray for safety. Many of us as now gathering to pray, every Sunday from
5:00 to 8:30 pm, at the main square. We kneel in front of the government
office and pray, under a very hot burning sun. I love Mexico, and I am
eagerly praying for this whole situation to get better. Results are
showing already. Our streets are becoming safer little by little. Killings
and kidnappings are less so fast.
Many people are now becoming aware that the Word of God
is the only solution to so much social problems. This month, we had 3,182
new students register to receive our Bible lessons. In five years, this is
the first month in which we have so many students eager to study God’s
Word in their own homes.
During April, we baptized 109 people. Also, we sent our
Bible Correspondence Courses to 116 inmates. And, 618 of our new students
received a Bible.
Our ministry has impacted the East part of Cuba,
represented in an amazing growth lately. Two of our corkers in the
ministry have visited Cuba recently. They are Todd Hancock and Ken Hosen.
During this visit they had three purposes in mind, which are: 1) The unity
of the Cuban Church. Some Church leaders were showing their immaturity in
Christ. 2) Teach the sound Christian doctrine. And, 3) The planning of the
CIY (Christ in Youth Conference) to be held there soon. The Church in Cuba
has taken good care of their children and adults, but has left behind
their youth. Now, all the three purposes are progressing. This progress
has been shown in Holguín, Granma, Santiago de Cuba, and Guantánamo. The
Christian leaders in Cuba respect us and show great interest in doing
things good. They show a passion for Christ! I will keep you informed
concerning this matter.
From April 26 to 30, I traveled a lot on buses and
walking. I visited brethren and some of our Bible Correspondence Students
in the States of Querétaro and Hidalgo. Drug dealers are all over Mexico.
So, the Mexican Army is also protecting and searching people for weapons
and drugs when we travel. On this trip, I ran out of money, but God
provided all I needed, especially food and accommodations. It is so
wonderful to walk by faith alone! God does take good care of His
people!
I am so thankful to God for the life of our dear
brother Ramon Miyasako, who paid the printing of 1000 copies of our lesson
The Church in the Bible, to send to Cuba. Also, he gave us 60 CDs with
Christian music for Cuba as well.
Another brother I am so grateful to is Mike Flores from
Corona, California. He visited the Church in Cuernavaca, and he donated an
overhead projector, one that you connect to a lap top. This will help us
to have more dynamic services and also to teach the Bible to our
brethren.
Please help us pray for the following:
For our dear brother Octavio Rodríguez, who remains
kidnapped. However, not all is bad news. This week, the local police
rescued an American couple which was kidnapped a lot time ago. For this
couple, the kidnappers were receiving $25,000.00 dollars a month, without
releasing them.
For our ministry in Cuba. For God’s provision of the much needed Bibles and printed Bible Correspondence Lessons. Our office is located in a two bedroom apartment, on the fourth floor of a building. This building was built in 1977. It has suffered many damages due to worn out and use. Also, since it is the construction on the very top of the building, it has pipes and water tanks on its roof. This has caused cracks, water and humidity going through the roof. So, its ceiling is falling apart, and needs repairs, but we do not have the amount of money to fix it. Also, the people living in this building do not have the money for maintenance. But, we need to do something fast, before the raining season starts this year. Please pray for funds to fix our much deteriorated roof, and walls too, which have cracks and the plastering is coming off. God bless abundantly, your coworker in
Christ Jesus,
Alfredo José Aparicio
Report From Dr. Nicholas E. Alyoshin Glory to Christ, my beloved brother! 1. IMMERSIONS. On 12.05.2010 in Simferopol (Crimea, Ukraine) I immersed one man – a Qirimtatar (Crimean Tatar) public activist. 2. PRISONS. Eugene Novozhilov – the contact of our chaplaincy, whom we had helped to emigrate to Poland – informed me, that he had gotten to know, that one refugee woman from Chechnya had decided to burn herself in the building of the Warsaw German Embassy to express the protest against the bad conditions in the refugee camp. His information was used by the Embassy, and the self-burning was prevented. On 13.05.2010 I was the chairman of the special meeting of the “Aibolit” organization in Simferopol (Crimea, Ukraine), where the former criminals (now they have become Christians) and the representatives of the 16 prison ministries of different Christian congregations (the Christian Church, the Baptists, the pentecosts, the Adventists, the Mennonites, the messianic Jews, etc.) were present. Colonel Bulgakov (the chief of the Crimean prisons directorate) has given his official agreement to be the chairman of the “Aibolit” trustees council. And I am their chaplain – the plaque with the inscription “American Rehabilitation Ministry – chaplain professor N.E. Alyoshin” is fastened on the wall in the “Aibolit” office, which is situated in the center of Simferopol-city. 3. MOSLEMS. On 12 and 13.05.2010 I had three meetings with Zair-bey Smedlyaev (the Secretary of the Qirimtatar National Mejlis) and Ali-bey Hamzin (the Mejlis member, the chief of the foreign relations Mejlis department). They expressed the sharp uneasiness in connection with the modern situation development in Crimea. They both think, that the acts of genocide against the Qirimtatar people can be possible; therefore the future of this ethnic group seems to be unsafe. Zair-bey and Ali-bey very highly estimated the activity of the ARM in the sphere of the saving of the repressed peoples (first of all the very important activity of bro Joe Garman and following steps of bro Max Goins and the other ARM ministers and contacts in the case of the Meskhetian Turks or Ahiska Turks in the Krasnodar Territory of Russia). Zair-bey and Ali-bey asked to inform bro Joe Garman and other brethren, that the Qirimtatars need them to pray for the USA Government would have taken part in the creation of the international diplomatic permanent organ to monitor constantly the situation in Crimea with the Qirimtatar people. The “Middle East Quartet” (the USA, UN, EU, Russia) to monitor and to control the situation in and around Palestine and Israel may be a good model for the creation of such future diplomatic board, say, of the future “Crimea Quartet”. My dearly beloved brother Joe! My dear brethren! Pray for this! 4. MISSION TRIPS. On 11.05.2010 - 14.05.2010 I had my recurrent mission trip to Crimea (Ukraine). The DOM ARM contact Eugene Novozhilov (the refugee from Krasnodar, Russia, to Poland) informed me, that he had a long journey to watch the situation in the refugee camps in Poland and Sweden. He visited the port of Gdansk (Poland; 1750 km NW from Krasnodar), then he crossed the Baltic Sea and appeared in Swedish town of Nynashamn (510 km N from Gdansk), then he visited the camps in Solna, Marsta, Gavle (210 km N from Nynashamn). At last he came to the refugee camp in the Swedish town of Kiruna (710 km N from Gavle), which is situated over the Polar circle in the place, where the borders of Norway, Sweden and Finland meet. It has been the first time in history for DOM ARM to receive the information from the so far point of the Northern Europe (even of the Arctic one). 5. MEDITATION. The development of the situation in Russia is showing more and more clear, that this state authorities, trying to build “the Christian country”, are constructing in fact the institutional religious organization with the idolatric icon-worshipping in the center of the cult and in the center even of the state ideology. At the same time for the American “the Christianity” means the Bible-reading and the emphasizing the authority of the Scriptures in opposition to the institutional authority to the religious organizations themselves. The Russian ideologists think, it is necessary to kiss the icon and to put the candle in front of it to be saved. And the Americans stress as paramount the tenet that salvation is achieved by personal conversion to faith in the atonement of Christ. Thus, it is necessary to inform all the American missionaries, that, going to Russia, they go into country, where the most part of the population, thinking themselves to be “Christians”, in fact are trying to achieve the magic support from the idols (especially from the flat wooden ones – icons). The Bible-reading as itself is suspicious in the modern Russia. Thus, the mental difference between the USA and Russia today is the one between the Bible-reading and the idolatric icon-worshipping. 6. DIVINE ACTION. On 08.05.2010 the Russian authorities had decided to open for public the huge tower icons of the Moscow Kremlin: the so called “Spas Radonezhskiy” over the gates in the Spasskaya Tower and “Nikola Mozhaiskiy” over the gates in the Nikolskaya one. Those idols have been closed with plaster for 72 years. The Divine reply had come immediately: during the night on 08.05.2010 – 09.05.2010 the biggest Russian coal mine “Raspadskaya” (in Siberia) was demolished with the improbable force explosion. About 100 miners were killed. The idols do not help. The Lord Almighty acts Divinely and says: “I will cast your carcases upon the carcases of your idols” (Lev., 26:30). 7. YOUTH MINISTRY. The “NIKA”-ministry organized on 30.04.2010 – 03.05.2010 the youth Christian conference in Shirokaya Balka (near the Black Sea port Novorossiysk, about 150 km to SW from Krasnodar). Among its’ 28 participants were the students of the Krasnodar Universities and some foreign ones. 8. PUBLIC RELATIONS. In connection with my visit the Crimea “Aibolit” organization had a big public action: about 30 volunteers with the banners and posters had for 7 days been staying in the center of the Simferopol city to collect the food to support the prisoners. About 1000 citizens came to their Christian charity pickets and donated 968 oranges, 23 kg of biscuits, 6 kg of sweets, etc. It was, indeed, the powerful Christian impulse to influence the Crimean public. On 26.05.2010 I was invited by the Krasnodar “Rotary” club to take part in the special party, given in honour of the Canadian delegation from the Alberta province. On 27.05.2010 I had the talks with the leaders of the Krasnodar Territory Gypsies community, including V. Smailov – “the deputy of the International Parliament of the international Gypsies Union”. 9. REPRESSIONS. On 08.05.2010 bro George Gerasimenko informed me, that for the whole April of 2010 he had been illegally put and kept in the psychiatric hospital. He was tormented psychologically and chemotherapeutically. On 23.05.2010 I discovered, that unknown man had invaded into the private yard of our house and had been trying to install some electric cables device. I called him and he disappeared, carrying away his installation. On 29.05.2010 I discovered, that somebody had penetrated into the memory of my mobile phone and stolen some information. You see, some dark forces think, I have some “terrible secrets” and try illegally to receive the information about them. Poor devils! I do not keep any secret. Vice versa, I am strictly following the commandment: “What I tell you in darkness, that speak ye in light; and what ye hear in the ear, that preach ye upon the housetops” (Mt., 10:27). 10. SUPPORT. We have received the April ARM support through “We-Go” Max Goins system OK. The Crimean expedition was done with the support of the DOM ARM Moscow branch (my sister Nathaly Koff). We received also the e-mails, letters and calls of support from Joe Garman, Rod Farthing, Max Goins, N. Plutenko, Nina Dudley (all-USA); Dr. Gerhard Leiser (Germany); E. Novozhilov (Sweden), A. Novosyolov (Switzerland), S. Shapiro (Ukraine), A. Hamzin and L. Muslimova (Crimea, Ukraine). All my transportations (about 1500 km in both sides) were done with the private cars of the brethren, connected with DOM ARM. We pray every day for all out donators. Dear brethren and sistren! Through your donations Christ uses us, as the executioners of His Will. Alleluia! In Jesus our hope! Dr. Nicholas E. Alyoshin Sath Sokha
