ARM's Rapha House (Home
for Girls) in Cambodia
An interesting and relevant news
article came to my attention recently. It
confirms the need of ARM's Rapha House in
Cambodia. Here are
excerpts:
Microsoft trains Cambodian
authorities to fight pedophiles who use the
Internet (AP)
PHNOM PENH -- Microsoft and
British intelligence specialists opened a two-week
seminar Monday to train Cambodians how to fight
against pedophiles who use the Internet to exploit
children in the impoverished Southeast Asian
nation.
About 150 Cambodian, Indonesian
and Thai law enforcement officials and
humanitarian workers will learn a range of
computer know-how -- from the basics of how the
Internet works to tracing sex offenders to network
security. The training is run by Britain's
National Criminal Intelligence Service, its
National Crime Squad and software giant
Microsoft. Cambodia has
struggled to root out foreign pedophiles who
target the country because of its lax law
enforcement and deep poverty. Children often work
in tourism locales, selling fruit, flowers or
trinkets, leaving them vulnerable to
pedophiles.
There are
about 33,000 child sex workers in Cambodia,
according to the U.N. children's agency. In
recent years, the country has experienced a sharp
increase in the production and dissemination of
child pornography via the
Internet.
In June, the U.S. State Department
listed Cambodia among 14 countries it deemed the
worst at adequately addressing trafficking
problems, including the trade of child sex
workers. "Many Cambodian
children have never used a computer and they never
in their lives used the Internet, but the abuse of
Cambodian children by pedophiles occurs daily as
pedophiles use the Internet and computers to plan,
coordinate and facilitate their crimes against
children," Bostick said.
Cambodia is
one of the world's poorest countries; it is
estimated that about 42 percent of Cambodia's
15 million people live on $1 a day or less.
But there are many Web sites with
photos and information for pedophiles looking to
commit crimes in countries such as Thailand and
Cambodia.
Construction continues at the Rapha
House site. We are
closer to completing our home that will house 48
girls. At last report, about $12,000 was
still needed to complete construction and
furnish the building. Currently, 21 girls
are being cared for physically, emotionally, and
spiritually in our rented facility. Thanks for
your prayers and support.
ARM is
ministering to needy girls -- some as young as 8
years of age -- who have been victimized in the
human slave trade in Cambodia
thru the Rapha House. Gifts of any size for
Rapha House may be sent to ARM, Rt. 5 Box 159,
Salem, MO

Reports
From ARM
Branch Ministry in Ghana, Africa
We have witnessed lives that
have been transformed by the gospel, and have
baptized a few inmates. Bibles have been given to
the Nsawam females. Our energies are now
geared toward the Christmas expenses.
Efforts are made to get used baby clothes for the
babies as well as their mums and other
inmates. May your prayers continue to be
with us. Together in His wonderful service,

Reports From Ernesto Alocelja
-- ARM Branch Ministry
in the
Philippines On Sept. 30 Bro. Solomon Suscano
Sr. and Bro. Ernesto O. Alocelja, visited for the
2nd time at "DAPECOL"(Davao Penal Colony) now
"Davao Prison and Penal Farms," the biggest
correctional in Mindanao and the 2nd largest
penitentiary in the Philippines. It has a
total population of 3,700 plus convicted
prisoners. The very purpose of coming in there is
to follow up on the approval of our having a
regular schedule there. The management
assured us of the approval very soon. As of
now, we have 22 baptized convicted prisoners
inside reached by the ARM Team at BJMP-Digos City,
PRC Matti, Davao del Sur, and Maa City Jail. Two
of them were sick and confined at the hospital;
Bro. Custodio Bantayan suffering an acute ulcer
and Bro. Rody Jubay was suffering a mild stroke.
These two men were very active in spiritual
leaders inside. Suscano and Ernesto were there to
pray for them and after the prayers; Rudy and
Bantayan offered a special prayer for the ARM
Prison Outreach International.
Also on
9-30-05, The ARM Team conducted an impressive
Bible study at Magsaysay District Jail assisted by
the nearest church, The Tacul Church of Christ.
Ten detention prisoners came forward accepting
Jesus Christ as their personal savior. On Oct. 7
the ARM Philippines team baptized 7 inmates in the
small jail of Magsaysay-Kialeg, Davao del Sur.
After the baptism; we offer them some bread to eat
and distributed laundry soap for them donated by
Mindanao Christian Foundation College and
Seminary. We are very happy that God touched the
hearts of almost 1/2 of the
faculties.

Report From Dr.
Nicholas E. Alyoshin-- ARM Branch Ministry
in Russia
September 2005
report The Ahishka (Meskhetian)
Turks, saved by the US from Krasnodar Territory
and settled in Pennsylvania, Kentucky, Washington
and Arizona, decided to establish their own
holiday - October 1 - the date of the coming
of the first family to the US in 2004. This year
it will take place in Lancaster, Pennsylvania,
where T. Swonidze lives. One of the organizers of
the holiday is Murad from Varenickovskaya village.
Joe Garman, Max Goins and I visited him in his
house on 27.10.2003. He received that day the Holy
Scripture in Turkish - "Kutsal Kitap" in Latin
scripture, printed in Istanbul and bought and sent
by Joe Garman. Now Murad is in Connecticut. He
looks for the contacts with Christian churches. He
also wants to invite Joe Garman and Max Goins to
the Turkish anniversary to Lancaster. It is
urgently necessary to communicate with him (his
telephone is 860-548-93-18; I rang him up from
Krasnodar, as 8-10-1-860-548-93-18). It would be a
great advance of the Kingdom of Christ, if Joe
Garman, Max Goins (as well as video team of Ziden
Nutt, and the US official representatives and mass
media) were able to visit this event! ARM
initiated the moving of Kutsal Kitap from Istanbul
to Krasnodar Territory, and the USA saved the
Turks, with whom this Kutsal Kitap has come to
America! This is a real miracle!
In Jesus our
hope! Sincerely,
prof., DOM ARM chaplain Nicholas E.

During the month of September we were
overwhelmed by the workload in our office.
Even though the heavy rains have hindered many
activities in Mexico, we were able to travel to
Tuxtla Gutiérrez, State of Chiapas, and Apango,
State of Guerrero. The hunger for God’s Word
is so appalling in those places. Due to the
persistent invitations of our Bible Student,
Cirilo Escobar, we visited him finally. I
traveled to Chilpancingo, State of Guerrero by
bus. Then, I caught a merchandise truck,
through mountains, ravines, and a muddy
road. Finally, I reached Apango on foot, as
the truck could not go any further. I hiked
the mountains for ten hours, but the reception was
great, full of affection and eagerness to hear
what God had to say to these people. Andrés
López and others spread the word through town that
we were there to share God’s Word with them.
It is encouraging to see those people hunger for
the Word. Our feet and legs hurt due to the hike,
but the need to share the Word gave us
comfort. Even, children showed a great
interest in learning what we had to say.
Spiritual food is so much needed there! The
people living in this part of the world have many
shortages, especially in the economic and
education areas. Most people only eat one corn
tortilla with salt a day, and they are dressed in
ragged and patched clothes. Most of them do
not have a second set of clothes, but only the one
they are wearing. They do not have running
drinking water, but they bring the water on
donkeys or on their bare shoulders. Most
people are sick, but they have not seen a doctor
in their entire lives. They die young, as they
have no hope to get well. Young women are
“sold” to their husbands for a box of soft drinks
or a goat. Being in such place is like
entering a ghost town, or having a nightmare, so
depressing. When we were getting ready to
leave, these people hugged us and cried, saying,
“Please do not forget us. Come to teach us
God’s Word and pray for us. Your visit has
done lots of good to us!” They appointed
three men to go with us to the place where we
could catch the merchandise truck again. I
thank the Lord for allowing me to visit these
places and see first hand the great need there is
for God’s Word!
During September, 17 young people from 20
to 25 years of age got baptized into Christ.
They are now serving the Lord. These young
people are located in the States of Chiapas,
Guerrero, Hidalgo, México, Michoacán, Mexico City,
and Veracruz. We will recommend them to a
Christian Church where there is one. I thank
you for your prayers and loving support to this
ministry I represent. Together we are
experiencing a great harvest for the Lord. We are
bringing souls to the Lamb of God’s feet every
day!
Your servant in Christ Jesus,
Alfredo José Aparicio,
Director

On
5 September 2005, I and my team went to the
Juvenile detention center in the morning. We were
in boy's section this time. I taught and explained
the life of Joseph in Genesis chapter 37-46. I
told them the life history in brief and added some
teaching and showing some pictures to them. In the
afternoon, we went to the girl section. I taught
the gospel according to Mark 5:21-43 to
them.
On
12 September 2005, we went to the Juvenile
detention center. We played the VCD showing the
experiences of the lives of the people who were
drug-addict and then changed their mind to believe
in God.
On
19 September 2005, I and my team went to Phayao
Central Prison in the morning. We were in the
men's section. I taught them the gospel according
to Matthew 26: 26-29 about Jesus Institutes the
Lord’s Supper. In the afternoon we went to the
women's section. I gave moral support to the women
there with the teaching of John
8:1-11.
On
26 September 2005, we went to the Juvenile
detention center. In the morning, we went to the
boy's section. I taught Exodus chapter 1-3 about
the life of Moses. I told them briefly the story.
The children there liked to listen to the story
very much. Then, we had lunch together in the
girl's section. In the afternoon, we had some
activities in the girl's section. I also taught
Mark 6:1-6. We played games, practiced singing
songs, having a competition on memorizing the
bibles. It seemed that the children there were
quite happy that day.
